I am a mom to one adorable son, married to the love of my life, and a keeper of two 14-year-old cats. I have a degree in Music and a professional background in piano teaching, so my approach to card design is from a musician’s perspective of creating just the right combination of movement and color.

My love of all things paper-related began many years ago. I once told a friend back in high school that I wanted to buy an old house in our city’s historic neighborhood and turn it into a coffee and card shop.  I think that I have always enjoyed being surrounded by beautiful handmade items that can be used in a practical way.

As a full-time mom since 2010, I have used cardmaking as my creative outlet by making cards for friends and family.  I began writing my blog in September of 2013 in order to be able to share my creations online. I also started entering online cardmaking contests at that time.

My Silhouette Cameo electronic cutting machine has been my primary tool for its custom shape cutting ability and its design versatility.  I can use the Cameo’s software to create custom text using any desired font. I also use the software to create a perfectly sized sketch layout of my card before ever having to cut any paper! The Cameo has replaced the need to purchase a lot of craft supplies such as stamps, craft punches, etc., although I still love incorporating artistic elements with ink, paint, and other embellishments as much as possible.

I follow several cardmaking blogs to keep up with current trends in paper crafting. I also love checking out online boards at Etsy and Pinterest to see what other artists are creating. I am so excited that you are here for a visit, and I hope that you will be inspired by some of my card creations!
