I am so happy to announce that I am *Guest Designer* this week over at Case This Sketch! Weeee!!! I’d like to offer a BIG shout out to Chrissy from CTS who invited me – this is my VERY first guest designer spot and I couldn’t be more excited!
Here is my card:
I started my design with the criss-cross of the arrows. I knew I wanted to incorporate a heart and/or a Valentine’s sentiment since this Friday is, after all, the big day of love!
I used two slightly different shades of embroidery floss to stitch the arrows onto the die cut heart, vellum overlay, and card.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to lay out the sentiment, and then used the fill feature to create a yummy pink and orange blend to the text.
Finally I glued some gold sequins for a little bling and also for the fact that I am really loving the pink/orange/gold color combination in projects that I’m seeing out there right now.
So head on over to Case This Sketch and check out my Guest Designer feature AND this week’s challenge! Have fun! And have a Happy Valentine’s Day – I plan on taking my little prince on a “date” to Build-A-Bear (as long as the weather is cooperative!)
